MoDiv

MoDiv, short for Monroe Center & Division Ave., is a retail incubator hosting 8 locally owned shops. Chai Boutique is so happy to call this amazing place home! We love being a part of the downtown community. It has been a wonderful experience! Especially around the Holidays when downtown is all decked out, it is such a great place to go to work everyday! The buildings have the old charm and the people in the community have been so supportive. Thank you to all of our patrons who have supported us in our new venture. Happy Holidays!!! Hope to see you soon!!!

Chai Boutique

When I opened my shop I had a vision that it would be this hip little place carrying a mix of vintage & new items. I was inspired by places like Anthropologie and Potterybarn without the expensive price tags. I read a ton of magazines from Country Living to Lucky aspiring style from all directions. I am constantly working to improve upon what I started with and every week give this place a new, fresh look. I hope to bring great pieces people can't resist so I can keep this dream going.

Love of Scarves

I have a confession to make. I am in love with scarves! I own so many of them I could wear one everyday. So of course I order a ton of them for my shop. I love how versatile they are. They can be worn around the neck a million different ways. They can be worn as a belt. They can be worn as a shawl. They are worn to add a little pop to an outfit. They are worn to keep you warm. Yes, I love scarves! Come on in to Chai Boutique and see our selection of scarves. I'm sure you'll find one you love too!

Getting Crafty

Every once in awhile I get in a mood to create something or reinvent something. Guess that's why I started a shop! So today I thought I'd blog about my creative thoughts. Lately, I love reusing old items some might throw away. I used old windows and made them into art. Just be sure to seal the old lead based paint! Pick a poster or fabric to glue or staple to the window. Add hooks to the back and there you have it! Art!!
I used an old muffin pan as a tealight holder. Just add coffee beans to fill the slots! Holds the candle and smells yummy too! Stay tuned for more blogs about creative ideas!!!!
